i saw a terrible thing yesterday. haitians were fighting each other to get to food delivered from outside. But that seems understandable. What i found incredible was the american flag printed on the bags of food. does their self-righteousness know no bounds. if that is kindness i would rather hate.

On friday i sailed with 2 other boats to Dassen island and anchored the night there. what a surprise to wake up with your house in a new place and a penguin waving from the beach. Also saw lots of seals, dolphins, birds and 2 sharks on the way. It felt so great to have done this that i even started washing the mouldy dishes in my flat after resisting for 2 months!

30 months before we started in a garden a long way to the north. Yesterday I did my first single-handed sail with Lila in the bay. Relieved and happy. There was about a 15kn breeze.
